Description of client Biotherapeutics
The mission of client is to develop innovative protein pharmaceuticals in areas of unmet medical need, specifically in Oncology. client employs approximately 150 individuals with a strong focus on forward-thinking Discovery, R&D and Regulatory/Marketing strategies. Our size and energetic teams allow for effective cross functional collaboration, agility and critical thinking/decision making. We have an exciting contingent worker opportunity available for a lab based Associate Scientist in Protein Analytical Chemistry.
As an Analytical Development Associate Scientist in the Process Sciences organization, your responsibilities will primarily include analytical testing, method development, and bioanalytical characterization of innovative biotherapeutic proteins, including antibodies, bispecific proteins, and antibody drug conjugates. In addition, you will present results in Analytical Development Department meetings and other internal meetings and author test methods and technical reports.
Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a BS or MS degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or a related field and 1-6 years of experience working in an analytical development or quality control (QC) lab in the biopharmaceutical industry. The candidate must also have significant experience with protein analysis/characterization by HPLC and capillary or chip based SDS electrophoresis (CE-SDS). In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate should also possess a good understanding of monoclonal antibodies and have experience authoring test methods and technical reports. It is essential that the candidate have good verbal and written communication skills, be meticulous in documentation, and possess excellent troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.
