In this lab-based position you will primarily perform binding potency assays and cell-based functional assays to support the development of Immuno-Oncology (I-O) therapeutic proteins. This role will support analytical testing, method qualification, method transfer to Quality Control labs, and CMC drug development activities. Responsibilities will include performing, improving, and troubleshooting assays, monitoring and testing of critical reagents, documentation of work in technical reports to support regulatory filings, and presenting work at internal meetings.
The Bioassay Development group exists within the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) department. In this department you will be exposed to many related areas of drug development, such as cell line/culture development, protein purification, pharmaceutical development/formulation, and analytical sciences.
A background in cell/molecular biology and bioassays is preferred. Experience performing binding potency ELISAs and cell-based assays is required. Bioassay development and qualification/validation experience in a process development or QC environment is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 4-year degree in biology or a related life science major, plus 4-6 years of experience in a laboratory environment. It is essential that the candidate have good verbal and written communication skills, in addition to demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will be required to work collaboratively and to efficiently and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
