Will be validating telecom vendor invoices against contractual rates/discounts/monthly usage measurements; reconciling discrepancies by documenting errors; ensuring credits are received; participating in quarterly vendor management meetings; processing timely payments via PeopleSoft with allocation of charges to the proper account codes.
Works with AP, follows month-end close procedures, prepares accruals, and verifies amounts posted in GL.
Produces monthly reports on telecom expense trends and quantifies monthly savings realized as a result of thorough invoice review; extracts usage data from the traffic monitoring system, Watchmark; analyzes data and produces weekly utilization reports; modifies trunk forecast to reflect changes in traffic patterns; places circuit orders with Local Exchange Carriers and Interexchange Carriers; coordinates circuit installation between vendor and Operations personnel; tracks order status and escalate as required to insure timely completion; assigns equipment and facilities in the circuit inventory system, XPERCOM; utilizes the Industrys Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) to determine proper routing of new cellular and landline codes and resolve trouble reports.
Analyzes capacity requirements associated with landline tandem rehomes and cellular switch cutovers. BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience with invoice processing, coding procedures, and PeopleSoft. General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies:

Provides front-line customer service support via phone to all clients internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance to customers during all phases of the inventory process.
Assists customers with their questions about how to set-up and operate our equipment to successfully conduct their inventories.
Maintains appropriate response times and abandon rates as defined in the department’s goals.
Coordinates internal operational activities to ensure each order/request is processed in a timely manner as agreed to with customer.
Serves as a liaison to assist client care teammates, account managers, IT and operations staff at all levels to support the needs of the customers.
Prepares and enters required client information/requests into department’s database to document customer interaction and resolution.
Obtains a working knowledge of product functionality/ performance and troubleshooting methodologies to assist clients when they call in for assistance.
Maintains a working knowledge of the computer programs currently in use in the department.
Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

HS Diploma and College background required.
Light IT background preferred.
Some prior customer service experience a must.
Excellent communications skills.
Computer literate; exposure to Windows environment.

Desired Skills :

IT background - Access Point, IP Address, and basic IT experience will be key in their success
College students work well

It’s 8 hours a week - 2 days a week / 4 hours each day. In January when this team has their ramp up period the hours will be full time.
